He is unique not only because of its reputation as the golden voice of Africa, but because he has albinism and a direct descendant of the founder of the Mali Empire, Sundiata Keita. This royal heritage has meant that in the context of Mali's caste system, he never had a singer who should have the role as a griot. Keita was born in the city ...

Eyeglasses Prescription Changing Every Eye Doctor Visit Causing Worries Your Eyes Will Go Blind?

An often heard question in my eye doctor Eye Care Center, will my prescription glasses all the time? Followed often I go blind? The latter is a common misconception rely very little on facts. People lose sight of suffering and loss of vision due to degenerative myopia, or nearsightedness. There is a significant increase in the proportion of people who retinal detachment in myopic population to come. But even if this is a significant increase, relativespeaking, it is extremely rare.

Have a very small proportion of the population is not degenerative myopia. This is a pathological condition of the eye, where it gradually deteriorated rapidly, and caused a number of serious visual problems, including retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataract and retinal degeneration, which can lead to blindness. This condition is clearly in adolescence and if you ask, do not have it. Degenerative myopia reported an incidence of 2% in theUnited States, and is the seventh leading cause of blindness. It is more common in Chinese, Jewish, Japanese and Arab populations and women. In my patient population, the incidence is much lower, probably less than .02%. He probably has some, like the dependency is defined by pathological myopia, if it does not affect the eyesight or reduce vision, which I do not categorize it as pathological myopia.

Progressive myopia is associated with some systemic diseases such as Marfan's syndrome in combination (probablyas Abraham Lincoln did), retinopathy of prematurity, Ehler's-Danlos syndrome and albinism. you would probably know if you had one of these conditions. The requirements in degenerative myopia are usually high, at an early age that they are probably 5-10x worse than what you are currently experiencing. Everything that is said, when will you stop changing your eyes? I personally believe all of the studies are outdated. Years ago, when a child reaches the youth eyeglass prescriptionstabilized. The times of rapid growth, body seemed to correlate well with eye growth. The time for change has been gradually extended over the period. First you need to, which means defining stable. For some, it means a change of 4 levels, which in optical terminology, a diopter. Previous studies have shown myopia develops in about 20% of people aged 20 years, going back to school (or in restricted environments such as in the vicinity of U-boats) life. If you choose 3 steps, is the change instead of 4 thenFigure rises to over 40%. Define it as 2 steps or less in a year (0.50 diopter) and the numbers go even higher.

The only thing that is indisputable today that blurred vision is an incentive for change in your glasses prescription is. What is not clear (pardon the pun), what is it actually means. Under concentrate on themselves, the concentration fluctuations can all cause blurred vision. It can take seconds or hours, to start the process. Current research indicates there is no central vision, butperipheral vision blurred, that the optical changes may result. From the studies of visual impairment in older students, it is clear to me that genetic and environmental factors at work. Authors of some studies do not believe that the research has been an environmental factor, but only the age of onset of myopia, I do not agree. What I believe is our world is changing at an almost exponential centered environment (ie, we all live on the internet, where you are currently located). This is not a normal visualEnvironment and probably not the healthiest for your eyes (computer vision syndrome) is on the upswing. The alternative is addictive, to unemployment in our computing environments, so it is not an option. Perhaps when you gaze out at the computer for three hours, then watch a focal seizure occurs for 30 seconds and blurred image caused by your visual system to try and) adjustment (focus on the right distance. This mal-adjustment would cause myopia. Then again it could be generallyFocus is too close or too far (normally a little behind the observed object). It's probably something else. The focus on a flat plain, if we are destined to, in a 3D world for the eye to focus forward to the alteration. The tear film layer of the eye for clear vision and dry eyes can cause blurred vision is crucial. Working on the computer leads to a decrease in the blink of the eye and the subsequent drying and the removal of the tear film layer. A bad tear film corresponds to blurred vision andmight Dry Eye Syndrome (DES).

Regardless of the result, I believe, (no real evidence to back up, other than what I see day after day and year), that very few people today to stabilize completely at any age. Most show a very sharp decline of the changes in their twenties, especially when they are outside the school. Many opticians refer "stable", as eyeglass correction is 2 steps or less in a year. Some patients I see are beginning to be better for no apparent reason. I have askedall the questions I can on the habits, etc., and the only common factor I ever will always wear their full distance correction, not having corrected, as some believe, eye doctors think that is an advantage. Please note that only a small group of people to pay their full RX improving year to year. The eye has to correct a built-in self emmetropization mechanism called working my view, begins with some people at a higher age for unknown reasons. If we do notthis process, there really would be a lot of very, very thick glasses! Also I have seen much less dramatic differences between the rules in the eye when the people that their glasses full time. Occasionally, people have the same prescription in both eyes and ask if it stays that way, probably not wearing the right lens prescription, they keep very much closer together. Statistically myopia decreased slightly in your 40s because of changes in the lens into the eye. Later in life, theLens changes start to develop again as cataracts and increased myopia. That is) really nice for people who are farsighted, as they notice improvements (at least for a while. People who are with poorly controlled blood sugar diabetes prescription changes over the entire board.

Last but not least, ask patients if they can avoid something in their eyes, do change. The answer is: Maybe, maybe not, or definitely yes in the future. A prescription drug by the nextYear may change the children's eyes slowly. Orhtokeratology (including corneal molding) may in some format changes slowly, but this requires some wearing gas permeable lenses and comfort problems. A soft contact lens that can be less "elastic" than others, changes slowly. Aspheric soft contact lenses may have some potential in my opinion, but there is no basis for this stage that I am aware. A small study showed bifocal soft contact lenses may also have some effect, and again myPresumption is, by an aspherical corrective action on the peripheral vision.

We always recommend, good ergonomics, and it was only for the relief of eyestrain, they offer: Look up every 15 minutes or so on something far away and close to break back and then alternate 10 times no focusing cramps. Get every hour, even if you just walk around the computer-this attitude of the physical and visual highlights. Use anti-reflection coatings on your glasses prescription and have a separate computer lens prescription, whenYou must be farsighted () bifocals. A preserved artificial tears used 3-4x per day, if they involve a lot of near work could be helpful. Children who are esophoric (eyes that do not do it again, but the tendency to) in the vicinity of revolution can benefit from a multi-focal prescription. I would think the same is true of adults, but I am again aware that research. It probably will change again at some point in the future. Nutritional quite varied over the place and probably has an effect for eating wellDiet rich in fruits and vegetables and low in sugar is as far as I can say at this time. And rest assured, your chances of blindness, even though your vision seems to change every year is very, very low and you see your eye doctor every year for an extended examination of the eyes is great preventative treatment.

Disorders of Skin Pigmentation and Complexion

Color of human skin is determined by melanin, the dark brown pigment produced by melanocyte cells in the skin. Changes in pigment levels are the changes in skin color, both of which we as a loss of color (en)-pigmentation, or be perceived as an excessive accumulation of pigment (hyperpigmentation). Such changes occur in pigmentation can be as simple by influences such as the amount of sunlight, but it is a source of extreme need, when they are due, are disease simply becausethey bring the added distress of having a disease.

Vitiligo is probably the most common cause of depigmentation and creates a great concern due to the fact that it not only caused depigmentation, but makes the skin very inconsistent and incomplete, and therefore unattractive. Other common conditions include in depigmentation, albinism, Tenia versicolor, nevus Depigmentosus and guttate hypomelanosis.

The most common cause of dark skin color, or hyper-pigmentationexcessive sun, but melasma is all too familiar to women, the children were born. Acanthosis nigricans associated with insulin resistance and is relatively common.

We may end up together, pigmentary disorders of the skin are quite different in their origin and it is always advisable to seek professional help if you have an un-reserved in charge change in your skin color.

Here I have only the pigmentation and depigmentation, without going into the details of the skinConditions that caused the pigmentation problems. However, there is a close relationship between these disorders and pigmentaion process of the skin.

Albinism - What Are the Main Causes For Albinism?

The main problem of albinism is due to the inability of the body to produce the pigment melanin (the prime task of crust on the skin is the ultraviolet light from the sun start to save your skin from damage caused by UV rays). Albinism has a significant role in the development of normal vision in both eyes.

Albinism is a recessive hereditary disease, which means that the person who inherited albinism albinism in two diseases,(a) by a parent. If your parents have the albinism gene and one normal gene, they would have enough genetic information to produce standard pigment and would not, indeed signs of albinism.

There are many genes that are scientifically proven to be) associated with this disease albinism (a change of genes. Any changes to an adaptation of melanin (dye / pigment) production in the eyes and the body. The melanin helpsto the skin from the ultraviolet rays from Guard SO individuals with albinism have this protective pigment and have more opportunities to burn easily from exposure to the ultraviolet rays of the sun. Reduction of melanin in the eyes of the rule gives birth, the problems associated with vision, such as the eye can not be in a position to develop properly without the pigment.

Living With Albinism Can Be Difficult

Each individual is with a little color to the body, skin birth, hair and eyes, unless they are a victim of albinism. Our color is produced by melanin production in the body, and if that does not exist or there are very few then from this evil is the result. The cause of this disease is believed to be genetic.

Actually there are two main types of this condition. It is not hard to figure out which people have this problem, because you will see that they are whiteor even a pink glow, her hair and her skin and the color of their eyes may be affected. It will also could have vision problems.

Then there's another way that only the back of the eye, the iris. This may not be felt by the average viewer, but an eye examination will show it. This test will show that it does not show color.

There are other conditions as well that the lack of color can cause the skin, for example, some peoplehave small areas that have no color. Persons suffering from albinism is at least one of the symptoms. This could not find any color in the hair or the iris of the eye or the skin. Alternatively, it could be just that their hair and / or the skin is much lighter than what is found in the average person ..

Then there are the patches that they have no color at all. There are some side effects to this condition, where very often the individual willsensitive to light, or you can also see that they have rapid eye movements, and usually have them blurred vision.

Although there is still no cure for this disease, treatment is basically designed to alleviate the symptoms and see what are the side effects. For example, has learned to use a sunscreen to prevent burning, because they are very sensitive to the sun and sunglasses also very important, sensitivity to light, which relieve the eye.

Albinismcause can not shorten the life of the individual, unless they suffer from some types of lung problems are bleeding. Although people with this illness can function normally, there are many daily activities, they can not attend, because she can not suffer from the sun. Two possible complications could be skin cancer or decreased vision leads to blindness.

What is Bird-Flu?

Last year, bird flu has been added to the headlines of every major media outlet in the nation. It seems like everyone is worried, but when I ask, no one can tell me exactly what it is. Is it as bad as everyone makes it have meant?

What Exactly Determines Eye Color

Eye color is determined by genes that are inherited, determined. Two major genes determine the color, and small deviations can be determined. Current Eye color is made from a pigment called melanin. The amount varies between melanin, the color of the eye. For example, blue eyes have no melanin and brown eyes have a lot. When the first children were born, they usually have blue eyes. Light is then stimulated to eye melanin and the color is usually determined by the time a person three.

In casesif a person suffers from albinism, eye, they lack any pigment at all. Many people believe that albinism results in red eyes, but that's not true. There is really no pigment, and the iris, because a very pale blue.

Some animals have to do that albino red eyes, as have show through the retinal blood vessels, where there is not enough pigment. Because the human eye is so large, usually produces enough pigment. But this can vary and it can lead to a slightred or purple appearance of the iris. However, the iris is normally.

As people with albinism is no pigment in their eyes, it can be difficult for them to have exposure to the sun. As the eye colors are blue and brown as determined by genetics, the people very little or not developed with pigment to all in the same way. The copy of the gene they inherit is modified and will not work correctly. This change in the body that prevents the normal amountsPigment.
