In the past 18 months, at least 25 albinos, including children, were murdered and mutilated in Tanzania. The authorities say appears to be medicine men linked to the murders. Albinism is especially common in Africa, which is estimated to affect as many as a thousand people. It occurs when the genes do not produce enough parts of a pigment known as melanin, which means the skin is extremely pale. Yvonne Ndege reports from Tanzania.
