www.ntv.co.ke For the first time, Kenya celebrated the National Albinism Day that is said to have also been marked in Tanzania. The wants the government to amend the Disability Act to have them included in it and have them recognized as people living with disability. They say issues affecting them would be better addressed if they are included among those who get special recognition.

  1. "People with albinism is based on the belief that certain body of albinistic people transmit magical powers. this superstition is present in some parts of east Africa. People with albinism have been persecuted, killed and dismembered, and graves of albinos dug up and desecrated. This article reminds me of a documentary ""Albino Killings in Africa"" which talks about the killings continue despite government efforts to stop the practice.
