As it is seen as "white" in a "black" society? In my genes shares, the life of 8 people with albinism in Kenya. It shows the uplifting life story of Agnes, a woman with albinism expect the few resources which heads a household of 7 children, her 17-year-old daughter to another. In the course of the documentary discovers Agnes, she has skin cancer and find out the real reason why she lost both her eyes. But Agnes constantly seeking, trusting in the work of their hands and the strength of their God.The threads of wool weaving baskets, they are blind to their family, stay together as she tells us her story. Interviews with seven other people under-cut Agnes story of their unique experience of living with albinism share. Are you considering to questions about the impact of their disease on aspects of their childhood, adolescence, sexuality, race and dreams. In my genes provides an intimate introduction to albinism, and asks us to consider, as a member of the viewhyper-visible and invisible groups of people in a predominantly black society.
